It’s Getting Hot in Here: Best Practices for Heat Illness Prevention

Missed our in-person presentation at ISRI 2024? That’s okay! Join us for the webinar version. It’s no secret that temperatures are increasing everywhere. In fact, July of 2023 shattered records as the hottest month ever recorded on Earth. With extreme heat expected again this summer, heat-related illnesses such as heat stress, exhaustion, and stroke pose a significant risk to your employees — whether they are working indoors or outdoors. The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) is committed to combating heat illness by increasing site visits and issuing fines, which means that employers need to have an effective program in place.

Join KPA District Manager, EHS Operations, Joe Souza, to learn how to create and maintain an efficient heat illness prevention program. Attendees will learn more about risk factors for heat illness, types of heat illness, recommendations for keeping employees safe, training best practices, how to respond to extreme heat events (for workers both indoors and outdoors), emergency awareness, and more.
